Machine Monitoring & Management

Machine monitoring UAE — run, idle, fault and real hours.

SAS builds the bridge between the shop floor and the maintenance world: IntelliLink interface hardware at the machine, an on-prem edge layer for state and running hours, dashboards the shift can use, and a tidy feed into the CMMS you already run. Start with one pilot machine, then copy the pattern across the line.

The Stack

Hardware, edge, dashboards, CMMS — then industrial AI when you are ready.

Think of it as layers, not a single box. Most plants already have good machines and a maintenance system; what they lack is a clean data bridge.

IntelliLink hardware

Custom-built interface for the signals and protocols that machine actually has — digital, analog, fieldbus, serial or CAN.

On-prem edge

Clear state model, running-hour counters, historian buffer and store-and-forward when the network hiccups.

Plant dashboards

OEE, downtime and alarms that are useful on a shift — not only in a board pack.

CMMS connector

Meters, alerts and work-order triggers into the system your planners already open (API, webhook, MQTT or similar).

Grow to PdM & AI

Start preventive. Add vibration, thermal and current when ready — with on-prem PdM AI and plant LLMs if you need them.

Local engineering

Survey, install, commissioning and support from Sharjah across the UAE and GCC.

How We Connect

Three paths — often mixed on the same plant.

When we say interlock, we mean a solid electrical and logical join into the data layer. We are not asking you to replace the controller.

Path A — Controller

Read the PLC or machine controller when tags are available: Modbus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, serial and similar — as the machine allows.

Path B — Sensors

When the PLC is locked or tags are missing: 24 VDC for run/idle/fault, analogs for speed/load, pulses for counts.

Path C — CAN

When the asset already speaks CAN: IntelliLink PSCU dual/Quad gateway for hours, faults and utilisation.

What You See

Typical signals we commission first.

If a machine cannot give one of these on day one, we still commission the rest and write the gap down honestly.

Running / idle / stopped

Mode word or digital inputs plus a small state model on the edge.

Utilisation & downtime

Derived from state, with reason codes when they exist.

Faults & alarms

Fault word, relay or stack light — ready for work orders.

Counts & cycle times

PLC counters or photo-eye pulses; timing between cycles.

Operating speed

Tag, analog or pulse rate — marked if missing.

Running hours

Accumulate RUN time (and cycles) for hours-based PM meters.

Interface Hardware

We are building the IntelliLink machine interface family.

Analog, digital and fieldbus into a timed plant feed — DIN-rail or panel form factors — including dual-Ethernet cell units that keep machine and plant networks isolated.

Industrial Ethernet adapter

Machine-side ingest with plant-side MQTT/OPC UA publish — isolated dual Ethernet. View industrial Ethernet adapter.

Same IntelliLink family

PSCU CAN gateway, Encoder Bridge and Hub when motion feedback is the problem — not the default for status/hours.

FAQ

Questions plant engineers ask

Practical answers on machine monitoring and management — from Sharjah, for plants in the UAE and GCC.

What is machine monitoring from SAS?

A practical stack: IntelliLink interface hardware at the machine, an on-prem edge for state and hours, plant dashboards for the shift, and an optional feed into the CMMS you already use.

Do you replace the OEM controller?

No. The OEM PLC or machine controller stays in charge. SAS listens, records and notifies. Safety circuits stay where they are.

How do you connect when tags are locked?

Three paths, often mixed: read the controller when allowed; add 24 V digital and analog sensors when tags are missing; use CAN gateways when the asset already speaks CAN.

Is this cloud-only?

No. Production monitoring runs on-premise by default. Cloud reporting is optional when you want it — not required for day-to-day plant use. See on-premise IoT.

How do we request a technical proposal?

Use Request a technical proposal and include machine types, what you want to see (hours, faults, OEE) and whether CMMS connection is needed. We typically reply within 24 hours.

Next Step

Start with one pilot machine.

Share machine types, protocols available, and whether you need dashboards only or a CMMS meter feed. We will propose a practical phased approach.
